Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors.
  • The text is in 1.5 spacing (except abstract, abstract and references, which must use single spacing); uses a 12-point Times New Roman font; uses italics instead of underlining (except for URL addresses); figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of annexes.
  • The authorship identification of the work was removed from the file and from the Properties option in Word, thus guaranteeing the journal's secrecy criterion, if submitted for peer review (eg articles), according to instructions available in the Peer Review Process. If the file is identified, it will be rejected for correction and new submission.
  • The submission file must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
  • URLs for references have been provided where possible.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal;

Author Guidelines

1. Scientific papers should adress topics relevant to Foreign Trade; Maritime Transport and Merchant Marine; Air, Rail, Road and Pipeline Transportation; Multimodal transport; Maritime and Air Domain; Logistics; Ports and Airports; Customs and Taxs, Law of the Sea, among others, in order to undertake theoretical, conceptual, analytical or applied studies.

2. Articles by authors with at least a Lato Sensu Graduate degree are accepetd. Co-authorship works (maximum of three authors) by undergraduate students in co-authorship with a Master or Doctor may also be accepted, with the indication and VALIDATION of the ORCID ID of all authors being mandatory, under penalty of summary rejection of the submission.

3. Papers may be written in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish.

4.  The text must contain a title (in the language of the submission and in English), in capital letters, FONT 12, in bold and centralized and must be accompanied by a summary and abstract, from 100 to 250 words each, with single spacing, and up to five keywords, in Portuguese and English.

5. Illustrations must conform to the 17 x 24cm format, with 300 dpi, set in JPG, PNG or TIF formats, indicating the credits of the images used.

6. In the paper, as well as in the file name, the author must not be mentioned, not even in the properties field.

7. Author's name, academic and/or professional credit and metadata will be added to the system at the time of submission.

8.The papers sent will be submitted to double confidential evaluation by external reviewers (double blind review), and may be accepted, accepted with suggestions for changes or rejected.

9. We use the iThenticate software for plagiarism detection.

SUMBITTED PAPERS MUST PRESENT THE FOLLOWING STRUCTURE:

  • Format: A4 sheet (21.0 cm X 29.7 cm), with the text to be typed on the back of the sheet.
  • Source: Times New Roman.
  • Typin: Font size 12 for all texto, titles of sections and subsections, and font 10 for citations of more than 3 lines, footnotes, legends of illustrations and tables.
  • Spacing: The text must be typed in1.5 space between lines according to ABNT-NBR 14724:2011, except for citations of more than 3 lines, legends of illustrations and tables, summary, abstract, footnotes and references, which must contain a single space. The titles of sections and subsections must be separeted from the text that precedes and follows them by a space of 1.5 (space between lines).
  • Margins: the left margin and the superior one of 3cm; the right and bottom margin of 2cm.
  • Indent: the first line of the paragrafh must be 1.25 cm from the left margin. Quotations with more than three lines must be indented by 4cm from the left margin. In this case, no quotes, single spacing and font 10.
  • Alignment: the body of the text must be "justified", including the summary, abstract, footnotes and references. For the sections, use the "Align left" option, which should be numbered from the introduction to the references. The titles must be centered.
  • Pagination: the complete scientific article must contain a minimum of 20 pages and a maximum of 30 pages, including bibliographic references and notes.

Post-textual elements:

  • References: Only references cited throughout the text should be included. Observe the rules provides for in NBR 6023:2018. The pagination is sequential to the text. Single spaceing should be used in references, with single spacing (1.0) between each reference and justified text alignment. The surnames of authors or the name collective entity are always transcribed in capital letters,  as well as the entire first letter of the title, except for proper names. The title of the document should always be highlighted in bold.

 

The publication of the contributions received will be conditioned to the evaluation of Scientific Council of the Journal and of eventual ad hoc evaluators, who will be able to approve them in full, suggest alterations or reject them definitively.

 

The Journal's Editorial may carry out, with or without recommendation from the Scientific Council and the ad hoc evaluators, small alterations of a purely formal nature in the texts received, in order to adapt them to the ABNT standards, with no modifications of structure, content or style without the prior consent of the authors.
